Why We Exist:

  1. We are tired of players getting ripped off by under-qualified and expensive basketball trainers. We know many personal basketball trainers and the majority of them have no long term plan or reasoning behind their workouts. They use a random assortment of drills over and over and only have getting paid as their motivation.
  2. Most players don't know how to start training by themselves and if done wrong can lead to tons of time and energy wasted working on the wrong skills.

All players are facing these problems, especially right now while everything is closed due to COVID-19, and we have solutions to both! All of our training programs are designed to be done at home with minimal equipment. We have also worked very hard to make our programs affordable for any player who wants to keep training this summer and make the most of this time at home.

Our Qualifications

My name is Bruce Bright Jr and I am the founder of Elevate Basketball Academy. When I was a freshman in high school I got cut from the team. Fast forward 3 years and I was the best player on my team and was one of only 2 players to continue playing basketball in college. My mission is to help as many players achieve their basketball dreams as possible. I can show you exactly what it takes to become an elite basketball player!

I have assembled an elite team of basketball coaches, players and psychologists to make the most complete at home basketball training program possible! We'll help you gain the skills and confidence to be one of the best players that steps on the court.

What's Included:

The program includes 12 weeks of Specific Skill Workouts for Point Guards, Full Body Calisthenic Workouts, Mental Toughness/ Emotional Intelligence Training, and Nutrition Guidelines based on each player's goals.

Skills Training- 5 skill workouts per week (est. time to complete 45 mins) that build on each other and get more challenging as the weeks go on. There's a big emphasis on ball handling because as a point guard you have to have complete control of the ball at all times. Other skills such as finishing and shooting are developed consistently throughout the program as well and are mixed together to make you into a complete basketball player.

Mental Training- 12 mental toughness/ emotional intelligence lessons taught by a NCAA team psychologist with a Phd in organizational psychology. He coaches his college teams on the same things that we teach you in our programs. Some examples of lessons from the mental program are energy levels, how to become self aware of what you need to improve on, how to take action on what you become aware of, and how to help your team become aware and make changes based on what you discover.

Calisthenics Workouts- 3 calisthenics (body weight) workouts per week that can be completed at home with very minimal equipment. The workouts progress to a higher difficulty as the program goes on and are designed to build muscle and prevent injuries in your muscles, joints and ligaments due to the high strain basketball puts on those areas of the body.

Nutrition Guidelines- This isn't a diet program, we just give you guidelines on what you should be eating, what you should be staying away from, how much to eat based on your eating goals and your ideal playing weight. This aspect of training is to make sure you are getting the most results out of your calisthenics training as possible.

How Our Program Works:

  1. When you buy one of our programs you will create a login to our school.
  2. You can use this login on our school website or on the Teachable app to view the program anytime on your mobile phone.
  3. Start by watching the Intro videos of each section of the program, then you should understand how to start the program and how to work through the 12 weeks.
  4. Continue grinding on your skills for 12 weeks until you complete the program.
  5. You will have access to the program FOREVER, so if you ever want to train again you can repeat the program and get even more benefits from the training.
